Yesterday was a great day

Having a blue monday so decided to focus on the great day I had yesterday, after church yesterday we spent some quality time with Cole teaching him how to walk and boy did it pay off he was walking all over the place until he bumped his head and got his first really big bruise, I think that scared him off a little hehe but atleast hes getting there!! Also went to see my sisters house that has been rennovated it looks gorgeous you should see her walk in bedroom cuboards to die for!!

The reflux is back well maybe its not reflux we actually think its from the Isomil, hes been sleeping YAYY but the vomitting is back to today I have put him on Nido so we will see if that makes a difference. Lets hope the vomitting stops and the sleeping continues.

Wednesday I have my tonsils taken out, im petrified so I hope its all going to go quickly and smoothly but I must say Im looking forward to some down time at home - booked off for 10 days so Im definitely going to enjoy that!! Lets hope there is not too much pain!! So wont be blogging for a while unless I get the urge hehe

Sleep Training

My angel is still a bit sick but his eyes and ears are definitely clearing up so hopefully tomorrow he can go back to creche and visit his friends. Last night Cole screamed for a full 2 and a half hours 12-2.30am my word, my arms are actually physically aching from picking him up so much, which I know is the first mistake as my domestic likes to tell me, "you spoil him too much" but the thing is I just dont have the energy at night to listen to him cry so I would rather pick him up and rock him, its a sad cycle because every night im tired from the night before so I just need to sit down or stand up and let him cry it out, why why why is it soooooooooo hard!! Why wont the monkey sleep?????

Wow what a weekend!! Thursday I came down with bronchitis so more antibiotics and then I passed it on to little Cole, cant tell you how bad I feel, the Dr wont give Cole more antibiotics so he just had eye and nose drops and after one day hes already feeling better keeping him at home for a while until hes 100%. 13 more days to go till I have my tonsils taken out, IM SO SCARED!! Hehe i have this feeling Im going to chicken out and cancel!!

Yesterday Cole went for his first haircut he would only sit still once we gave him a biscuit hehe, his nose is also clear now and hes sleeping quite well so Im sure the new diet is working well he also doesnt scratch his nose anymore so YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Well the Dr finally called and confirmed that the fibroids are nothing to worry about I just need to have a scan done every 6 months to make sure they do not grow or spread, thank you so much for the prayers, I can breathe again, tequila anyone?

So this morning a routine check up at the gynae turned into something quite scary, the Dr checked my breasts and noticed a lump in the left breast and sent me for scans immediately. The radiologist confirmed that I have 2 x 2cm cysts on the left hand breast that are attached and one 2cm cyst on the right hand breast one also shows lymph node reactivity whatever that means Im not sure!! The Radiologist says that its not cancerous but they might need to be cut out!! Oh joy!! already going on the 3rd of Aug to have my tonsils taken out what next!!! Waiting for Dr to call back with results please keep me in your prayers - Pretty please..

Will 2010 end already it hasnt been a good year!!

Today you are 1 year and 1 day old and last night you screamed ALL NIGHT LONG your nose ears and eyes have started running and your 2 front teeth are also almost through and this all after you finished your antibiotics on friday so I just dont know what to do anymore. Are you all passing along your symptoms at creche during lunch heheh. So Im going back to good old Isomil and cutting wheat, dairy and gluten out of your diet, we know you have allergies from your stay in hospital but when they tested for Wheat, Soya and Milk they didnt take the test correctly so we never got to find out and because its such a traumatic test (they take blood out your neck as your arms dont have visible veins) I dont feel I can do this to you again so Im going to just do it and see if it makes a difference. I have just got back from woolies and bought you every soya gluten free product they own so lets hope this works, Im feeling so positive that next week you will be snot and crying free and Im going to put you down at 8pm and you are going to wake up at 6am - hows that for positive thinking!!

Happy 11 months my angel you are just getting cuter by the day!! You have started laughing at everything which is too cute, you can say Mamma, Dadda and Nyum nyum when you eat.
You have started walking around holding on to everything so you are definitely a pro at exploring the lounge. Another great milestone is that you are 100% better and you are on no medicine not even your losec for reflux I cant tell you how happy this makes me lets hope its stays this way for a long time, today is your first day back at creche so Im hoping you arent going to kiss any girls and get germs will be praying for this the whole day, week and year. Mommy is also very busy planning your birthday party I dont know what Im going to do with myself after your birthday as I have loved every minute of planning it all, love you lots my angel xx

Woweeeeeeeeee what a week

Last week was absolutely terrible starting last sunday we took Cole to casualties as he had a really bad cough that was causing him to cry everytime he coughed and his cheeks were very rosy, the Drs said we could go home but they felt more comfortable to monitor him for the night, well it all ended up in a week long stay at the hospital, his tests confirmed RSV Flu which is basically an upper respiratory flu which is really bad for the little ones, his saturation levels were very low so he had to be on oxygen and then they had to wean him off the oxygen which wasnt going according to plan but then eventually by saturday morning all was well and we could go back home FINALLY!! It was terrible to see my little monkey so ill but now hes back to normal hes not eating and drinking too well but he has a few bites here and there so will just have to monitor all that!!
I ofcourse also picked up tonsilitis again for the 50th time so I had to go home friday night and spend my first night away from my baby it was terrible but I actually got some sleep and the DR has informed me that I need to take my tonsils out so I will be going to the ENT next monday to find out where and when, im very scared but I really dont want to have another bout of tonsilitis again so hold thumbs that we beat all these bugs!!
Cole will be staying at home this week and only going back to creche next week when hes 100% strong

Still not sleeping

So my Angel you are still not sleeping and mommy is starting to take strain 10 months with no sleep and only 2 good nights, you scream your head off when u sleep or when you half wake up and the only thing that makes it better is to wake you up properly then you happy again, but then Mommy and Daddy dont get sleep and we not happy lol.
I pray for the day you start sleeping through the world will definitely be a bit sunnier that day.

10 Months old

Wow my little angel is now 10 months old cant believe it!! Hes not yet crawling but rather dragging himself around, but as his teacher says he finds this the quickest way to get around and he will probably carry on this way until walking hehe hes improvising. Hes finally over his conjunctivitis thank goodness that was not nice to see, I also got tonsilitis again can you believe it the Dr eventually injected me with human antibodies which he says he doesnt do for everyone but he doesnt want to see me again so hes going to give it a try and I must say that afternoon I already felt better so lets hope it works, he doesnt want me to take my tonsils out yet as he says as an adult its TERRIBLE and I must avoid it all costs he says if I get one more tonsil infection then I will have to go, so lets hope the antibodies do their job as Im sick of being sick but now finally feeling normal again lets hope it lasts!!

Now my little angel seems to have conjunctivitis in both eyes and fluid coming out of his ears, he was at the Dr on friday who said all was well so waiting for him to call back to find out if we must start the antibiotics, oh my word its going to b a long winter!!

Breaking news Master Cole David Reid slept through last night 8pm - 6am the only down side is that he never slept at all yesterday and he was grumpy the whole day hes got a bit of flu so this could be the reason but WOW we had a whole nights sleep it was WEIRD!!

Update on the Reids

My word what a week it feels like a few days of my life were erased, I started feeling really ill on tuesday morning my body was aching and I could hardly walk I made an appointment for 9.30 but it was only 7am so I went straight to hospital where they informed me I had tonsilitis my word "but my body hurts not my throat" but anyway a dose of antibiotics and home I went and oh my word the next day I def realised I had tonsilitis I felt like I had a block of wood in my throat by thursday evening I couldnt anymore went back to the hospital driving by myself at 2am (if you now me I dont drive at night EVER easpecially by myself) so yes off I went by myself at 2am to the hospital with Dale protesting but I didnt want to have to take Cole out in the cold etc etc.. so off I went onto a drip and more antibiotics and then finally started feeling better, may nobody ever feel the way I did last week it was terrible!!
We spent most of the weekend at home watching DVDS which was great but now this afternoon Cole has started with a dry cough shame man it sounds bad he must be feeling bad because the little monkey is SLEEPING yes SLEEPING last night he only woke up twice so I thought something was up and tonight I have put him to sleep in his bed and hes snoring away shame man hope the little man feels better soon. Kisses to all u moms out there, winter is here let the meds and the Drs visits stay away!!

Please keep Dales Aunt in your prayers she was rushed into ICU the night before last and it seems they have found a mass in her colon that could be cancerous, please keep this special lady in your prayers who never moans and never complains so its very hard to know that she is in pain and not well xx

Happy 9 months my angel!! This morning as I was driving you home from your measles injection which you took very well you are such a brave boy, I was staring at you sleeping and I just wanted to burst with giggles at how cute you are, you have such a bubbly personality and you find the world fascinating just like your mom!!

I took you to a reflexologist/irridologist last night she worked on your feet a bit and said that you were one very intelligent little man and that you have some ADHD which we know, (Dad says u are intelligent like him and hyper like your Mom haha as if we know Daddy cant keep still!!)she says that you struggle to switch off at night and thats whats keeping you awake she gave you some herbal drops which we will try and see if it makes a difference. Your Paed also said we should do iron deficiency tests but the nurse said this morning that I dont need to do the test I should just give you an iron supplement and see if it makes a difference (makes sense) so mommy will try that too!!
